Equality & Accessibility

The school meets its duties under the Equality Act 2010 by making reasonable adjustments to prevent disadvantage and promote equality of opportunity.

Durham Academy is an inclusive school and actively promotes the participation of students with SEND in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities. Facilities include disabled toilets and lift access.

Looked after children with SEND receive support through the school alongside external services, including Social Services.
