Safeguarding

At Durham Academy, we believe it is everybody’s responsibility to keep children and staff safe. Our Safeguarding policies can be found on the Policies and Procedures page on our website. All policies and procedures follow the statutory DFE guidance in the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.

All adults working in school (including visiting staff, volunteers and students on placement) are required to report instances of actual or suspected child abuse or neglect to the Designated Child Protection Officer.
